It’s an improv show all about what makes Minnesotans tick—our quirks, shared challenges, and big hopes for the future. What is Sketches of Minnesota?
At its core, Sketches of Minnesota is an experiment in civic imagination. Through a combination of community conversations and live improv performances, we turn local stories into comedy and theater that is at once funny, surprising, and deeply human. Each event invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and consider what it means to live in community with one another.
The project is co-produced by Danger Boat Productions and the Minnesota Humanities Center, with the goal of bringing people together across Minnesota to share stories and explore big questions through humor.
